The public can comment on the proposed Republican Basin Integrated Water Management Plan next month at public hearings hosted by the four natural resources districts within the basin.
The Tri-Basin hearing will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at the NRD office in Holdrege.
Tri-Basin General Manager John Thorburn told the Hub the plan was expected to be posted today on the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources website - dnr.nebraska.gov .
The NRDs and DNR have worked on the basin plan for four years. Each NRD will use its goals and objectives to customize its Republican Basin plan.
