As part of an Eagle Scout project, members of Troop 132 will be applying decals on storm drain inlets Wednesday, according to Dan Lillis, stormwater program manager for the city of Kearney.The Scouts’ project is intended to alert residents that dumping anything in storm drains pollutes lakes, rivers, bays and streams. Scouts will mark inlets with the “No Dumping, Drains To River” message and distribute informational fliers in the neighborhood about water quality and environmental protection.
