Rembolt Ludtke Promotes Disaster Relief for Nebraska’s Farmers and Ranchers

At Rembolt Ludtke LLP, our thoughts and prayers go out to all Nebraskans impacted by the devasting floods, blizzards, and extreme weather throughout the state over the past several months. Nebraska’s agricultural producers have been especially hard hit, with losses estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The Rembolt Ludtke Agricultural Practice Group  has been engaged in efforts to assist the Nebraska Cattlemen in creating and promoting of The Nebraska Cattlemen Disaster Relief Fund aimed at raising money to provide disaster aid and relief to cattle producers who have been harmed by these natural disasters.

 

 This Fund is organized in the State of Nebraska as a not-for-profit corporation and will be seeking to qualify as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization under which all donations made to the Fund would be tax deductible for the donor in accordance with applicable federal tax laws. All of the proceeds will go to cattlemen and women in Nebraska who find themselves in severe need and distress as a result of these unprecedented natural disasters.
