Bids were approved Tuesday for pipelines that will link four U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service waterfowl production areas to Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District canals.The goal is to deliver high Platte River flows, when available, via the canals and pipelines to WPA wetlands to benefit waterfowl habitat and groundwater recharge.The Central board accepted the $323,027 bid from BSB Construction of Curtis to install pipelines for the Johnson, Cottonwood, Linder and Victor WPAs. It was the low bid of four.
