The Pathfinder Irrigation District is encouraging its water users to manage their water use wisely and to work with the District to conserve as much water as possible during this irrigation season.
In the latest water supply information from the Bureau of Reclamation, the projected April through July runoff from the snowpack in the mountains has been reduced by approximately 100,000 acre-feet. These latest numbers put the projected runoff at well below the 30-year average (approximately 60 percent). While the Pathfinder, Guernsey and Glendo irrigation storage accounts are expected to fill, the amount of natural flow available for use prior to needing storage water is considerably less than in the past few years.
