Directors of the Little Blue Natural Resources District plan to take more time to review input from a May 29 public hearing and discuss possible changes to a set of proposed revisions to the district's groundwater rules and regulations before taking action on them.Meeting in Davenport Thursday, the board's Water Resources Committee talked about written and oral testimony received at the recent hearing, which followed an informal “open house” format, and the gist of around two dozen patrons' comments.In the end, they decided to gather again as a committee to continue the discussion and review the proposal systematically, taking into account not only patron input, but comments and suggestions from the Nebraska Departments of Natural Resources and Environmental Quality.
