The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District has implemented a new program to help landowners establish cover crops that help control erosion and make the soil more productive.Applications need to be submitted by Oct. 1 for the Cover Crop Program. Landowners can receive up to $2,000 annually on qualifying land in targeted watersheds, in a community water system protection area or in designated phase two or phase three groundwater management areas within the district.
