Rembolt Ludtke partner Tim Clare plays a critical role in the economic development of Lincoln through his service on the Lincoln Joint Public Agency (JPA). Clare serves alongside Mayor Chris Beutler and City Councilman Carl Eskridge on the JPA.Recently, the Lincoln JPA approved two West Haymarket projects that will stimulate economic development in the Haymarket and increase citizen enjoyment of the area.The first project will transform an empty lot adjacent to the Hudl building at Canopy &> Q Streets into a 100,000 square foot, six story building developed by South Canopy LLC. The new building will include a mix of retail, office, and retail space, while providing a publicly accessible courtyard. The JPA hopes the project will be completed before May 2022.The second project’s goal is to catalyze housing development south of the Haymarket. The plan calls for the city to acquire the Jacobsen property at 215 S 7th St in order to demolish the existing structure and replace it with a park, plaza, and trail hub.“In just a few short years we’ve seen the Haymarket become completely revitalized with the Railyard and Canopy Street projects,” said Tim Clare. “There is clearly demand for more development in the area, and these new projects will help to satisfy that, benefitting the city of Lincoln and bringing greater enjoyment for its people.”Both projects were unanimously approved by the JPA.
