High court dismisses lawsuit challenging Republican basin IMPs

Posted in Water Watch

The Hastings Tribune Quotes: “The Nebraska Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a lawsuit filed by the Frenchman-Cambridge Irrigation District challenging integrated water management plans for natural resources districts in the Republican River Basin.

In dismissing the case, the high court declined to reverse a ruling made a year ago by Furnas County District Judge James E. Doyle IV. Doyle had ruled the surface irrigation district’s case should be dismissed because the district had not stated a cause of action.”
