Jay L. Snyder started his career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, working 10 years at Bryan Health and then working the past 26 years as the Clinical Director of Pulmonary Services at CHI Health St. Elizabeth. While at CHI Health St. Elizabeth, he provided leadership in collaboration with medical staff, in the formation and expansion of acute care services such as Critical Care Respiratory Care, Neonatal Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Diagnostics Laboratory, Neurodiagnostics Laboratory and Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiology services while developing new and innovative outpatient services such as the Sleep Disorders Center, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs, Associate Fitness programs and Durable Home Medical DME supply.
Mr. Snyder has served as the President and Past President for the Nebraska Society for Respiratory Care and also served 5 years as an active member of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Air Quality Board, where he was acting chairperson for 2 of those years.
Mr. Snyder and his wife Karen have two children, Melanie and Mitchell. Outside of Rembolt Ludtke, he enjoys cooking, especially in the area of barbeque and smoking. He also enjoys boating, golfing, and fishing. He is an ordained Elder and Deacon with the Presbyterian Church USA and volunteers at Matt Talbot Community Kitchen & Outreach Center.
