The Willow Creek reservoir in Pierce County again is under a state health alert.
State officials said the lake near Pierce is the subject of a health alert for harmful algal blooms, also known as toxic blue-green algae. The lake had been on alert earlier this summer only for it to be removed after subsequent testing showed algae levels had dropped to safe levels.
But as of Friday, the lake was again under the health alert.
Recreational boating and fishing are permitted, but the public is advised to use caution and avoid exposure to the water. People can still use the public areas for camping, picnics and other outdoor activities, officials said.
