A judicial commission has named two finalists to fill a vacancy on the Nebraska Court of Appeals.
David Bargen with Rembolt Ludtke in Lincoln and Larry E. Welch Jr. with the Welch Law Firm in Omaha were announced Tuesday as finalists for appointment to the 24-county Fifth Judicial District. Gov. Pete Ricketts will select one of the private practice lawyers to replace Judge Everett Inbody, who retires from the court Jan. 1.
Welch’s areas of practice include corporate law, taxation, probate, trusts and estate. He lives in Beaver Lake. Bargen, who lives in Adams, practices water, natural resources, municipal and governmental law.
